Crimson Tide add another wide receiver to 2026 class

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama coaches continue to strike on the recruiting front with the latest addition of 3-star wide receiver Brian Williams Tuesday evening.
The 6-foot-4, 185 pound athlete from Orlando chose the Crimson Tide over offers from Florida, Penn State, Arkansas, Auburn, Michigan, Notre Dame, Purdue, Wisconsin and many others.
He is the No. 799 overall prospect in the 2026 class, No. 118 among wide receivers and the No. 104 player in Florida, according to 247sports composite rankings.
Williams brings a lanky frame and promising athletic ability which caught the attention of Alabama’s coaching staff.
Second-year coach Kalen DeBoer continues to build depth at the wide receiver position, Williams becomes the Tide’s second wide receiver pledge for the 2026 cycle, joining three-star receiver Owen Cabell.
His size and potential fit well within Alabama’s offensive schemes, which under coach Kalen DeBoer emphasize versatility and explosive playmakers.
Williams’s commitment adds to a growing and highly regarded 2026 class that already boasts a mix of five-star and three-star talents.
This class reflects Alabama’s ongoing strategy to balance elite prospects with developmental players who can contribute in multiple ways.
Traits-heavy outside wide receiver with the length and athleticism to bake into a difference-maker, but one where the on-field production has yet to really materialize. Looks the part with a lanky frame that stretches close to 6-foot-4 and pairs the outstanding size with green speed and explosion scores. Displays good initial burst off the line and will sink his hips to snap in and out of his breaks. Not the most physical player at this stage, but finds ways to beat man coverage with his quick feet and sharp releases. Missed time as a junior due to injury, but drew plenty of attention when he was in the lineup for Florida’s 7A runner-up. Must keep progressing and avoid further setbacks, but projects at this stage as a multi-year contributor at the Power Four level. -Andrew Ivins, 247sports
