Alabama wide receiver commit Cederian Morgan on his official visit.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer added another signficant addition to his recruiting class Wednesday with the commitment of 5-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan from Alexander City.

The 6-foot-4, 210 pound prospect chose the Crimson Tide over a host of offers such as Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Colorado, Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi State, Ohio State, Tennessee and many others.

Morgan’s decision adds considerable depth and talent to Alabama’s wide receiver room, further solidifying the program’s reputation of recruiting impact pass catchers.

He boasts a blend of size, speed, and route-running ability allows him to blow the top off opposing defenses which has made him one of the top prospects nationally.

His commitment proves that the Crimson Tide’s brand remains formidable among recruits just over a year into the transition from legendary coach Nick Saban.

His pledge is also a huge victory for Alabama as it competes to keep elite in-state talent within its fold, away from arch rival Auburn and other top programs across the country.

The connection between him and the Alabama coaching staff plus program tradition played a pivotal role in his choice.

“Choosing Alabama was an easy decision for me,” Morgan said. “It’s close to home, and I believe in the culture and vision Coach Kalen DeBoer and his staff are building.”

Morgan’s addition follows a trend of Alabama’s strong 2026 recruiting efforts, which already feature a mix of high-profile commits.

His presence strengthens the Tide’s wide receiver group under first-year offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb’s future scheme.

Recruiting analysts across the board note Morgan’s skillset fits well with Alabama’s offensive philosophy, which emphasizes versatile receivers who can stretch the field and contribute in multiple ways.

His ability to create separation and make contested catches has drawn comparisons to past Alabama receivers who have succeeded at the collegiate and professional levels.

The Crimson Tide’s commitment haul for 2026 continues to climb in national rankings to No. 6 nationally in 247sports updated team rankings with a nation-high three 5-star commitments.
