TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — For any in-state recruits on the fence about staying at home, new Crimson Tide 5-star commit Cederian Morgan from Alexander City shared some encouragement.

“If you want to stay home and you want to be a part of something special, come to the best team in the state, and that’s Alabama,” Morgan told reporters at his commitment ceremony.

Morgan committed to the Crimson Tide over a host of offers such as Auburn, Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, Colorado and many others.

Alabama currently has commitment from five players within its borders, including a pair of 5-star recruits in running back Ezavier Crowell and Morgan.

Four-star athlete Zyan Gibson, 3-star defensive lineman Kamhariyan Johnson and linebacker Zay Hall round out it’s Yellow Hammer State pledges.

With pledges from three of the top players in-state, Alabama currently sits No. 6 in 247sports 2026 recruiting rankings and show no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Archrival Auburn has just six verbal commitments in this cycle, headlined by Jemison 4-star edge rusher Hezekiah Harris. The Tigers currently rank dead last at No. 16 among SEC teams, No. 89 nationally by 247sports.
